Back in the Fall on 2019, I traveled with my family to Los Angeles for my cousin’s wedding. His wife grew up in Japan. The two of them married in the Buddhist Temple in the Little Tokyo neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Since we were in Little Tokyo, we wandered around sampling the foods and shops. We took our time soaked in the ambiance of area. The outdoor decor felt both Japanese inspired, yet specific to California. Printmaking has a long tradition in Japan with woodblocks. This linocut pays tribute to printmaking tradition, Los Angeles, and Japanese culture.
